He is currently developing several television and feature projects for family audiences. Spence began his career as a production executive for Miramax Films, where he tailored independently produced acquisitions such as “Pulp Fiction” and “Like Water For Chocolate” for the US theatrical market. His job with Miramax evolved into writing and directing for the Weinstein’s fledgling Dimension Films division, where he co-wrote and directed features “Children of the Corn: The Gathering” (Naomi Watts) and “Prophecy II” (Christopher Walken, Brittany Murphy, Jennifer Beals). In addition to his producing projects, works as a freelance post executive, collaborating with directors such as Edward James Olmos, Gus Van Sant, and David Lynch on feature projects for HBO Films, First Look Media, and Paramount Pictures. |
